Record Store Day is an event that started as vinyl shop sale some years ago. Today it is a phenomenon that spreads around the world. The main idea has always been built on two pillars. 1) vinyl store that is open longer than usual. 2) exclusive records that are premiered in that day.
Atelier Bavlna was de facto brick and mortar shop offering other vinyls too. So we decided to organize with collaboration of music label Gergaz an unofficial Record Store Day on 16th of April. In other words a holiday… of music, physical media, collaboration and good relations. Attention! It wasn’t a vinyl market.
During the day the artists were personally presenting their work. 3ck, Biomat, Pkrek (premiered songs from his upcoming album Ariesynth), Duhan, Prezident Lourajder a Jimmy Pé were presenting themselves in personal interviews and sets. The cherry on top was acoustic micro concert of a band with many awards – Fallgrapp.
The biggest attraction were of course vinyls: Gergaz brought Jimmy Pé – Fake Fantasy and Fallgrapp – Rieka. Except “the sale” of current titles: Fat Kit – 87 Bears, Duhan – Back to the Future, 3ck – Spontaneous, we prepared special 2LP album Úrad by Prezident Lourajder pressed on 3 sides, limited 100 pcs only. A bonus were limited slipmates and other merch.
