JUST PLAYIN’ is an open debate with a friendly atmosphere, which is dedicated to beat making, music creation processes and natural human emotions as well. We always start with the same sentence so the audience knows what to expect, although, in the end, each of the musicians introduces themselves in their own style. For example, Branči Kováč played recently released songs from the album Domáce potreby, that was published in the very same day. On the other hand, FVLCRVM was interactively showing thru a projection how he creates beats.
There will be another session on Wednesday October 24th at 7 pm. The host MtotheG will welcome three guests: Deryck, Esso and Adam Dekan. The event will take place at the specular premises of Esterházy palace in the building of SNG (Slovak National Gallery), to be more specific, in Berlinka café at the corner of Námestie Ľudovíta Štúra, in Bratislava. After the debate you can see the Gladia Moony Band live performance, with their current Black Sugar EP. Entry is for free.
Since 2015 we’ve had these guests so far: Brenk Sinatra (AT), Vec, Jureš (Fallgrapp), Dtonate (CZ), Jimmy Pé, FVLCRVM, Stratasoul, Dalyb, Radimo (CZ), Karaoke Tundra (UA), Prezident lourajder, Emil, Billy Hollywood, Petijee, Peko, Dubas (CZ), Biomat, 3ck, Beyuz, Duhan, Neznámy Interpret, Pkrek, Grizzly, Metys, Paul Muts…
ESSO is both: an excellent BEATmaker and a BEATboxer in one person. He is also a member of Street Dance Academy and vocal group For You, musician who has represented us on different foreign beat battles. He was invited to Red Bull Music Academy Basscamp in Prague as “young and promising”. You could hear his music on different Slovak rap tracks e.g. Strapo, Nerieš, Kali…we will also ask him about sounds in a movie…
ADAM DEKAN who is famous for his trip-hop ambient project Nourish My Fame, which together with album Nauta (2005), were greatly received by the critics. He also performed on numerous national and international festivals. In 2012 he was at the birth of an experimental project: Triple Sun. Besides that he was a part of other bands and projects (e.g. Núku), he also featured some vocal and electronic albums and took part at various movie and theater projects. As a member of Gladia Moony he worked on the entire production of Black Sugar EP.
The third guest and the last one at our debate, will be hip hop beatmaker DERYCK, a member of former Gramo Rokkaz. He’s been still producing for GR, DMS, Rytmus and other local killers. If you remember the song Dame feat. Čistychov + Tony Touch from the album Posledný Doberman, it was produced by Deryck himself.
